Its history begins in 1968 when the Technical School of Chemistry based wood working and cellulose industry is founded. In 1974 began the construction of new school building, dormitory and gymnasium. In 1975 the school was renamed in the Technical School of Chemical Industry and in 1987 - in Technical Industrial Chemistry. Since 1993 the school was transformed into Technical food industry and tourism and in 2005 - PGTHT.
Throughout its history PGTHT has a history in creating and maintaining links with universities, institutes, enterprises and companies from the food industry and tourism. The popularity of the school in recent years, high professional level of teachers and the excellent preparation of students.
